Projectors

Commercial Projector Installation.

A great commercial projector is bright, sharp and crystal-clear from morning until close of play. CoreComms specifies and installs projectors that are sized properly for the room, mounted cleanly, cabled to your AV, and bright enough to read in any lighting condition. Boardrooms, classrooms, lecture theatres, training rooms, auditoriums and venues across the North West and West Yorkshire.

SUPPLY & INSTALL

Commercial Projector Supply & Installation.

The projector is the easy bit. The brackets, screen, cabling, control system and ambient-light maths are where the craft really shows. We handle the full job: spec, supply, mount, cable, integrate with the room's AV, commission, and train your team to use it.

A typical commercial projector install includes:

We work in newly-fitted-out rooms, retrofits to existing rooms, and refurbishment projects where the projector goes in alongside other AV upgrades.

Laser projector sized to the room and ambient light conditions
Ceiling mount, lift, or motorised drop-down where the ceiling is awkward
Motorised or fixed projection screen, sized to the seating layout
HDMI / HDBaseT cabling from the table or lectern to the projector
Wall-plate or floor-box source connections
Control system (Crestron, Extron, AMX, or simple manufacturer control) for one-button on/off and source switching
Audio integration with the room's speakers
Commissioning, focus, geometry alignment, and signoff

Boardroom Projectors.

Most modern boardrooms are moving to large-format flat-panel displays, 75", 86", 98". Because they're brighter, sharper, and easier to maintain. But there are still cases where a projector is the right answer:

For boardroom installs we typically recommend laser projectors at 4,000 to 6,000 ANSI lumens with a fixed motorised ceiling mount. Audio runs through the room's speakers, not the projector.

Boardrooms with awkward viewing angles or pillared spaces where a single display can't be seen by all seats
Heritage rooms where a wall-mounted display is unacceptable
Multi-purpose boardrooms that double as training rooms and need a 150"+ image
Cost-sensitive projects where £4k of projector beats £20k of video wall

Got a project in mind? Let's scope it together.

Classroom Projectors.

Schools and universities still buy a lot of projectors, they're durable, the budget-per-room is tighter than corporate boardrooms, and a projector with an interactive overlay is a credible alternative to a 75" interactive panel.

Considerations specific to classroom installs:

If you're upgrading a school's AV estate, talk to us about the interactive whiteboard installation page too. Sometimes a mix of projectors and panels by room type makes more sense than blanket replacement.

Ultra-short-throw

projectors mounted just above the whiteboard avoid teacher shadow and the lamp glaring into students' eyes

Interactive projection

turns any wall or whiteboard into a touch surface, cheaper than replacing every classroom with a flat-panel touchscreen

Daylight readability

south-facing classrooms in summer need 4,000+ lumens or blinds policy

Auditorium & Venue Projectors.

Lecture theatres, assembly halls, conference venues, places of worship. These are bigger jobs, projectors at 7,000 to 20,000 lumens, professional screens, often dual-projector edge-blended setups, integrated with venue audio and lighting control.

We've installed in lecture theatres, school assembly halls, and event venues across Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool.

Typical venue installs include:

  • High-output laser projectors with interchangeable lenses
  • Tab-tensioned motorised screens, sized for seating layout
  • Edge-blended dual or triple projector setups for ultra-wide content
  • Integration with venue audio (line array, distributed speakers, induction loops)
  • DMX control and stage lighting integration where required
LIGHT SOURCE

Laser vs Lamp Projectors.

The decision most clients ask about. Short version: in 2026, for any new commercial install, specify laser unless there's a hard cost ceiling.

Laser (Long Life)

For most commercial installs the maths is clear: a £4,000 laser projector running 6 hours a day for five years pays back vs. a £2,500 lamp projector by avoiding the lamp swaps, downtime and replacement labour.• 20,000+ hour light source (vs. 3,000 to 6,000 hours for lamp)• Constant brightness and colour over the projector's life• Instant on, instant off. No warm-up or cool-down• Sealed light engine, no dust contamination• Higher upfront cost; lower total cost of ownership

Lamp (Cost-Effective)

Lamp projectors are a great fit for rooms used occasionally: churches, community venues and spaces where the capital budget is the deciding factor. Where lamp is the right call, we'll spec and install it properly.• Lower upfront cost (£800 to £2,500 typical)• 3,000 to 6,000-hour lamps, replaceable but not free• Brightness drops 30 to 50% over lamp life• Warm-up and cool-down cycles between uses

Ceiling-Mounted Installations.

Ceiling-mounted projectors deliver a clean look and stop staff knocking the projector when they reach for a cable. The trade-off is the install, proper containment, secure mounting to structure (not ceiling tiles), HDMI/HDBaseT runs through the void, and a way to reach the unit for maintenance.

We handle:

If the ceiling is plasterboard with no above-ceiling access, we'll quote alternatives. Wall-mount above the screen, lectern-mount with rear-throw, or a portable cabinet on a trolley.

Survey and structural check before bracket selection
Mounting to structure with adjustable poles
HDMI / HDBaseT cabling through the ceiling void to a wall-plate or floor-box
Power supply integration
Motorised lifts where the projector needs to drop into view from a coffered ceiling
Aesthetic finish so the bracket and pole look intentional
PRICING

Pricing & Specifications.

Pricing depends on lumen output, throw ratio, lens, and any control or screen requirements. Typical bands:

Meeting room projector with screen and ceiling mount£2,000 to £5,000 supplied and fitted
Classroom ultra-short-throw with interactive overlay£2,500 to £4,500 per room
Boardroom laser with motorised screen and HDBaseT£6,000 to £12,000
Lecture theatre / venue projector with installation£8,000 to £25,000+
Edge-blended dual-projector setup£20,000 to £60,000 depending on scale

These are guides, not quotes. Ambient light, throw distance, lens choice and existing infrastructure all move the number, we survey first and quote fixed.
