Services/WiFi Installation/Business

Office & Commercial

Business
WiFi.

A business WiFi network where every floor has signal, every device stays connected when staff move around, and the IT team gets proper visibility on what's running. CoreComms designs, installs and supports business WiFi across the North West and West Yorkshire. For offices, warehouses, retail and multi-tenant buildings, using business-grade kit from Ubiquiti, Cisco, Aruba and Ruckus.

BUSINESS-GRADE WIFI

Business-Grade WiFi for Offices, Warehouses & Multi-Storey Sites.

A consumer broadband router is built for a few devices in a small home, not a business with dozens of staff, devices and meeting rooms. Business-grade WiFi gives you the capacity, roaming and central management a modern workplace needs.

We've installed business WiFi across Trafford Park, Wellington Place, Liverpool's Commercial District and the Aire Valley industrial belt. Single-floor offices through to four-storey corporate fit-outs.

Designed to capacity, not just coverage

Modern offices need an AP per 100 to 150 m² of working space, with extra in dense meeting rooms. Coverage is easy; capacity under load is the harder problem.

Properly cabled

Cat 6 or Cat 6a from each AP back to a managed switch, PoE+ to power the radios. No plug-in extenders, no daisy-chained mesh nodes.

Centrally managed

Single controller view across all APs, automatic channel and power tuning, real-time monitoring, and proper reporting on bandwidth and clients.
WHAT WE INSTALL

Office WiFi.

Office WiFi

Single-floor and multi-storey offices, surveyed properly, cabled to Cat 6/Cat 6a, managed centrally.

Warehouse & Industrial

Higher ceilings, more metal, denser stock. Directional antennas and hardened enclosures, not extra office APs.

Guest & Captive Portal

Segregated guest networks with captive portal, bandwidth caps, T&Cs splash and marketing-platform integration.

Got a project in mind? Let's scope it together.

OFFICE WIFI

Office WiFi Design.

A typical office WiFi install starts with a survey, predictive in software at design stage, and on-site after install to verify coverage and capacity match what we modelled.

For most offices we recommend Ubiquiti UniFi or HPE Aruba Instant On as a starting point, stepping up to Aruba CX, Cisco Meraki or Cisco Catalyst for larger or more demanding estates.

What a properly-designed office WiFi system gives you:

Full coverage in every space, including the trickier meeting rooms
Roaming, a user moving between floors stays connected without reconnecting
Capacity for video conferencing rooms. Teams Rooms can pull serious bandwidth under load
Dedicated SSIDs for staff, guests and IoT/printers, on separate VLANs
Central management so adds, moves and changes don't take a service call
Reporting on bandwidth, top talkers, and any client struggling to associate
WAREHOUSE & INDUSTRIAL

Warehouse & Industrial WiFi.

Higher ceilings, more metal, denser stock and RF-blocking shelving make warehouses a different proposition to an office. Industrial WiFi is engineered around those conditions from the start.

We've installed industrial WiFi in manufacturing units in Trafford Park and Aire Valley, distribution centres on Speke Industrial Estate, and tertiary storage sites where uptime translates directly into despatch volume.

For warehouse and industrial WiFi we typically deploy:

Industrial-grade APs (Ubiquiti UAP-Industrial, Cisco IW-series, Aruba 500-series outdoor) rated for the temperature and humidity range
Directional antennas where coverage needs to be focused down aisles rather than spread spherically
Hardened enclosures where dust, moisture or impact are real risks
Power-over-Ethernet to keep installs clean, a single Cat 6 cable per AP, no separate power runs
Cable runs in armoured containment where forklifts could clip them
GUEST NETWORKS

Guest Networks & Captive Portals.

For retail, hospitality and any client-facing space, we'll integrate the captive portal with a marketing platform (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, your CRM) so guest sign-ups flow into the rest of your stack rather than dead-ending in a logfile.

Almost every install we do includes a guest network. Done properly:

Separate SSID and VLAN, fully isolated from staff and IoT networks
Captive portal (splash page) collecting an email or accept-T&Cs click before granting access
Bandwidth caps so guests can't saturate the office uplink
Optional time-of-day controls (e.g. guests off-network outside business hours)
Logged access for compliance and incident response

HARDWARE WE USE

Hardware We Use.

SMB & mid-market value

Ubiquiti UniFi

The price-to-performance leader. UDM-Pro security gateway, UniFi switches, U6/U7 access points, single-pane controller. We use UniFi for most installs under 25 APs.
Cloud-managed Cisco

Cisco Meraki

Strong RF performance, excellent dashboard, security features built-in. Higher cost than UniFi but easier than traditional Cisco Catalyst. Right call for organisations with existing Cisco estates or strong compliance requirements.
HPE mid-market

Aruba Instant On

Strong RF tuning, neat dashboard, sensible pricing. A common alternative to UniFi where the IT team wants something a step up. Aruba CX for larger enterprise estates.
High-density specialist

Ruckus

Where high-density matters, lecture theatres, conference centres, retail with thousands of devices in a small footprint. Higher unit cost, but BeamFlex antenna design earns its place.
SURVEY-LED

Coverage Mapping & Survey.

Predictive survey, we model your floor plan in WiFi planning software, place virtual APs, and predict signal strength, channel utilisation and capacity. The output is a heatmap, AP placement plan and bill of materials.

On-site survey. For complex or high-stakes sites, we walk the building with measurement kit (Ekahau Sidekick, NetAlly AirMagnet) to verify actual conditions.

After install, every site gets a verification survey to prove the network performs as designed. Detailed in our WiFi site surveys page.
