Services/Starlink for Business

Rural · Remote · Resilient

Starlink for
Business.

If your site is too rural for fibre, too temporary for a leased line, or you need a backup that doesn't share the same cable run as your primary, Starlink Business is usually the answer. CoreComms surveys, installs, configures and supports Starlink for Business across the North West and West Yorkshire, from agritech sites on the Cumbria edge to construction welfare cabins in central Manchester.

SATELLITE INTERNET

Satellite Internet for Rural & Remote Sites.

For years, rural broadband meant slow lines, patchy 4G and long waits for fibre to reach the village. Starlink changed that. A 1.2m self-aiming dish, a clear view of the sky, and you're on 150 to 300Mbps within an hour, anywhere in the UK with mains power.

Starlink works best as part of a connectivity strategy that fits your site. Where fibre or a leased line is the better option, we'll say so. Where Starlink is the right call (for rural sites, temporary builds, or true cable diversity), we install and configure it properly.

Where Starlink Business fits the bill:

Farms, smallholdings, and rural commercial sites beyond the FTTC/FTTP rollout
Construction welfare cabins and site offices that need real internet from day one
Pop-up retail, events, and seasonal sites where running fixed-line isn't viable
Resilient backup for offices where a fibre cut would stop everything
Mobile assets including vehicles, marine and agricultural plant, using the Starlink Mobile plan
WHY THE BUSINESS PLAN

Why Starlink for Business?

Three things make the business plan a better answer than a consumer Starlink kit on a commercial site.

1

Higher throughput with prioritised network access

Starlink Business uses dedicated bandwidth and stays usable when the consumer pool gets congested.
2

Public IPv4 address

Required for VPN tunnels back to head office, hosted phone systems, remote access servers and a long list of other business kit.
3

24/7 priority support and 99.9% SLA target

Useful when a clinical site or factory depends on the link.
The hardware also differs: the high-performance dish has a wider field of view, stronger weather resilience, and is rated for permanent outdoor mounting to purpose-built for demanding commercial and construction environments.

USE CASES

Use Cases.

Rural Offices

Where fixed-line broadband can't deliver the speeds a modern business needs, Starlink Business steps in. Reliable Teams calls, fast file sync and a stable connection for the whole team. We've installed at agritech, food production and rural professional services sites where fibre was either unavailable or quoted at six figures to install.

Construction Sites

Welfare cabins, project offices, on-site BIM and CCTV, all of it needs internet from day one, not the eight weeks BT need to pull a temporary line. Starlink Business goes live in under an hour and travels with the project. We handle the install on a permitted mounting frame, configure the LAN, and lift it back out at handover.

Agriculture & Farms

Modern farming runs on data. Automated milking, sensor networks, drone imagery, livestock systems, IACS submissions. Fibre often stops at the village; the farmhouse is another two miles up the track. Starlink delivers usable speeds where nothing else does, and the business plan gives you the public IP your farm management software needs.

Disaster Recovery & Failover

Add resilience to a single fixed-line connection. Starlink as a secondary path on a dual-WAN router gives you immediate failover so staff stay productive, hosted phones keep ringing and ecommerce keeps trading. Starlink Mini at one site and Starlink Business at another also gives you site-to-site diversity without depending on the same carrier.
INSTALLATION, CONFIGURATION & SUPPORT

Installation, Configuration & Support.

Plugging a Starlink dish into a router is the easy bit. The configuration half is where the real value of a professional install shows.

We support the install afterwards to RMA management, plan changes, throughput tuning, the lot. A direct line to engineers who know your setup.

1

Site survey

Sky-view check (Starlink needs a clear view to the north in the UK), mounting location, cable routing, mains supply.
2

Mounting

Wall mount, ground mast, ridge mount, non-penetrating ballast frame, or vehicle/marine mount as needed; cable through proper external glands and into the building.
3

Network configuration

Bridge mode where the customer has their own firewall; VLANs and SSIDs where Starlink's router is doing the work; static or DHCP-reserved internal addressing.
4

VPN and routing

Site-to-site VPN to your head office or cloud; fixed routes for VoIP and Teams traffic; QoS for jitter-sensitive applications.
5

Failover integration

Dual-WAN setup with a fixed-line primary, automatic cutover, real-time monitoring.
6

Training and handover

Your team know how to reboot the dish, swap the SIM (for Mobile plans), and what to call us about.
STARLINK BUSINESS PLANS

Starlink Business Plans.

Pricing changes from time to time. We'll quote current rates at survey.

Standard

Entry-level business plan with prioritised throughput and a public IP. Suitable for small rural offices, single-cabin construction sites, and resilient-backup use. Throughput typically 100 to 250Mbps.

Priority

Higher data allowance, stronger SLA targets, and priority access during congestion. The right answer for clinical sites, ecommerce-dependent businesses, larger construction sites, and any operation where downtime has a real cost.

Mobile

Starlink Mobile (formerly Roam) follows the dish wherever it goes. Vehicles, vessels, mobile plant, multi-site agricultural use. Pricing reflects the flexibility.

We'll match the plan to your actual usage. If Standard fits, that's what we'll quote, and we'll explain exactly why.
