WiFi
Installation.
A WiFi network where every room has a strong signal, every device stays connected on the move, and the IT team gets sensible reporting on what's going on. CoreComms designs and installs WiFi for businesses, large offices, schools, healthcare sites and home garden offices across the North West and West Yorkshire, Ubiquiti, Cisco, Aruba and Ruckus, properly surveyed and properly cabled.
Professional WiFi Installation for Business & Home.
Most WiFi problems trace back to one of three things: not enough access points, access points in the wrong places, or consumer-grade kit trying to do a business-grade job. None of those get fixed by buying a bigger router.
Our process starts with a survey, picks the right hardware for the building, and ends with a network that works as well in year three as it does on day one.
The team has fifty-plus years of combined experience and we've installed across Trafford Park, Wellington Place, Liverpool's Commercial District and the Aire Valley industrial belt. Plus countless smaller offices, GP practices, dental surgeries, schools and homes between them.
Business WiFi Installation.
Office WiFi
Single-floor and multi-storey buildings, surveyed properly and cabled to Cat 6 or Cat 6a, because Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points push more than a 1Gb uplink can comfortably carry.Warehouse & Industrial
Industrial-grade APs (Ubiquiti UAP-Industrial, Cisco IW-series, Aruba 500-series) in hardened enclosures, mounted to structure rather than dangling from the ceiling.Retail & Hospitality
Guest network with captive portal and analytics, plus PCI-DSS-compliant segmentation between guest, staff and till networks. SSID, VLAN and firewall rules kept clean.School & University
BYOD-heavy WiFi with safeguarding integration, exam-hall networking and high-density coverage for lecture theatres, classrooms and breakout spaces.Healthcare
Clinical, staff and guest networks properly segmented, with verified coverage to clinical work areas for safety-critical wireless devices.Garden Office
Mesh, point-to-point wireless bridge or armoured Cat 6 cabled extension, solving the work-from-home garden studio problem with the right tool, not the cheapest.Got a project in mind? Let's scope it together.
Office & Multi-Floor WiFi.
Multi-floor offices are where the survey work pays for itself. Stairwells, lift shafts, between-floor signal bleed, and asymmetric demand patterns (busy floor 4, quiet floor 2) all need to be planned for at design stage rather than discovered after install.
Typical multi-floor design:
We use a predictive WiFi survey tool at design stage and verify with on-site measurement after install, see our WiFi survey services.
Garden Office WiFi.
The work-from-home boom left a lot of people with a garden studio that the house WiFi can't reach. Three credible solutions, picked by what the site actually needs:
Mesh WiFi
Extends house WiFi by hopping between nodes; works for short distances and unobstructed paths. Cheapest of the three.Point-to-Point Wireless
Directional radios mounted on the house and on the garden office, giving a stable wireless link. Robust over longer distances.Cat 6 Cabled Extension
Armoured Cat 6 buried or run discreetly to the garden office, with an access point at the far end. Most reliable and cheapest in the long run.Hardware We Install.
Hardware choice depends on size, budget, and what your IT team can support. We're not tied to any one brand and recommend by use case. Where each one fits:
Ubiquiti
UniFi range, strong price-to-performance. UDM-Pro / UDM-SE security gateway, UniFi switches, U6/U7/AC-HD access points. Cloud or self-hosted controller. Increasingly the default where Cisco and Aruba's price points are hard to justify.Cisco
Catalyst, Meraki and the wider Cisco wireless portfolio. Right answer where the wider IT estate is already Cisco, where you need enterprise-grade RF management, or where the IT team is Cisco-trained. Meraki is the easier cloud-managed on-ramp.Aruba
HPE Aruba Instant On for SMB, Aruba CX for enterprise. Particularly strong RF performance and security tooling. Common across education, hospitality and retail estates.Ruckus
CommScope Ruckus access points. Strong in high-density environments (lecture theatres, conference centres, retail) where the proprietary BeamFlex antenna design earns its place. Higher cost but capable.Want a fixed-price quote? We'll come and survey first.
Coverage Mapping & Planning.
Predictive WiFi planning at design stage means you don't pay for too few or too many access points. We use planning software (Hamina, Ekahau, NetSpot) to model the building, place virtual APs, and predict signal strength, channel utilisation and capacity. The output is a heatmap, AP placement plan, and bill of materials.
Where the building is complex (multi-floor, glass walls, heavy steel) we'll do an on-site survey too, walking with a measurement kit, checking actual signal vs predicted. Detailed in our WiFi site surveys page.
