We spec it where it fits and recommend a dedicated platform where it does not.
Hybrid and On-Premise Systems.
Some Liverpool clients cannot go fully cloud, whether because of contact-centre operations with regulatory call recording, compliance-driven retention requirements, or on-premise hardware that is already paid for and still working. For these we run hybrid setups: on-premise PBX for the constrained function, cloud VoIP or Teams Voice for everyone else, one number plan and one directory across both, with a migration path to full cloud when the constraint relaxes.
Hybrid is more complex than either pure model, so we only recommend it where a pure cloud approach genuinely will not work.
Number Porting and SIP Trunking.
Keeping your existing Liverpool numbers, including the established 0151 numbers your customers have known for years, is almost always possible. Number porting is the regulated Ofcom process for moving numbers between carriers, and most ports complete in 5 to 15 working days.
